


Adriana threw her luggage overboard. She sold her beach house, gave symbolic closure to her past works, and left for a stark, frozen place, occasionally lit by the spectral glow of the northern lights. The Conquest of Home is the diary of that journey, with the Arctic Circle as its geographical destination, but in truth, it is a journey inward. Over the course of a year and a half, during which she traveled four times to the most inhospitable regions of Iceland and Norway, Adriana confronted whiteness as a territory, a destiny, and a philosophical stance, capturing with her camera the network of veins that nourishes all matter: time.
