With an attractive editorial concept that integrates the photographic work of the author alongside the development of the theme, Lourdes Grobet has photographed one of the most popular and deeply rooted sports in Mexico for many years: lucha libre (wrestling). As a visual chronicler, she explores this unique spectacle of the country, describing it as "a ritual, an event full of energy, playful, fun, and cathartic." More than 500 original images by Grobet are accompanied by texts by Carlos Monsiváis. The images range from the tigers of Zitlala with masks of the Villanos to El Santo eating tacos.
