Altkorn, Simon

She works and lives in Buenos Aires. She graduated as an Economist from the University of Buenos Aires. She studied Film Direction and Screenwriting with Simón Feldman. She attended workshops in photography with Juan Travnik, Gabriel Valansi and Rodolfo Lozano, and courses in Contemporary Art with Valeria González. She studied lighting at the Motivarte School of Photography and digital post-production with Gabriel Rud. She won the First Acquisition Prize in 2007 at the XCVI National Visual Arts Salon, in the Photography section. She received and Honorable Mention from the Jury in 2008 at the 4th National Visual Arts Salon of Cipolletti. She also received an Honorable Mention from the Jury in 2009 at the National Art Biennial, Museum of Contemporary Art of Bahía Blanca. She was selected for the Roggio Visual Arts Awards (2008), Association Amigos Caraffa Museum of Contemporary Photography (2008), Platt Prize Salon (2008), Deloitte Contemporary Photography Contest (2008), Federico Klemm Foundation (2008) and (2007), and XCV National Visual Arts Salon (2006).
