These photographs are part of the 240 that comprised the retrospective exhibition *Sara Facio and Alicia D’Amico: 25 Years of Photography*, presented in July 1985 at the Centro Cultural Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Most of them have also been published in the seven books authored by Facio and D’Amico—*Buenos Aires Buenos Aires*, *Humanario*, *Geografía de Pablo Neruda*, among others—and exhibited at art museums in Argentina, Zurich, São Paulo (Brazil), Madrid, at the Palazzo Reale di Caserta and the University of Genoa in Italy, the Tsukada Gallery in Tokyo, The Photographers’ Gallery in London, and the Galerie Agathe Gaillard in Paris.
Sara Facio and Alicia D’Amico, renowned figures in Argentine photography, are featured in *Contemporary Photographers*, London, 1982, and in the *Encyclopédie Internationale des Photographes*, Switzerland. Together with María Cristina Orive, they are co-founders of LA AZOTEA, a Latin American publishing house dedicated exclusively to the publication of photographic works.
