This photo book contains thirty-four pairs of images corresponding to the same number of blood samples. A photographic image of the blood smear is accompanied by a digital image obtained through manual scanning and digital processing. The blood samples are from different individuals—psychiatric patients, both men and women—from the same section of the hospital. These samples were taken on a single day, June 9, 2017. In this way, the group represents an arbitrary sample of routine work in a hospital, and Adolfo Bimer has obtained permissions to work with this material for his own purposes.
