Roda, Marcos

Colombian photographer. He studied drawing with his father and Santiago Cárdenas, and printmaking with Humberto Giangrandi, as well as serigraphy, metal engraving, and photography at the Taller Cuatro Rojo in Bogotá. He also studied painting and drawing at the Massana School in Barcelona, Spain. He participated in the Creagraf printmaking courses sponsored by the OAS at the University of Costa Rica, focusing on lithography with Oscar González Cerón and color metal engraving printing with American printer Tom Kelly. He co-founded Taller la Huella in Bogotá, where he dedicated himself to metal engraving and photography for seven years. In the field of printmaking, he worked on his personal work and participated in various exhibitions and portfolios. He also worked as a color printmaker for many artists. In the field of photography, he participated in exhibitions and worked on advertising, film, and video projects. Additionally, he co-authored, designed, and edited the books "Fotografía colombiana contemporánea" and "Crónica de la fotografía en Colombia" with Roberto Rubiano. He has been a photography professor at the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogotá. He has collaborated with various institutions in photography, including the Museum of Modern Art in Bogotá, Garcés Velásquez Gallery, Belarca Gallery, Ministry of Culture of Costa Rica, Centro Las Gaviotas, and Teatro Libre in Bogotá.
