Riggio, Eduardo

Argentinian artist. He studied drawing and painting with Jorge Hugo Román, engraving with Laico Bou, and frequented the workshops of Cayetano Donnis and Juan Carlos Castagnino. His first steps in photography came when he was still a teenager and began working in Ramón Salinas' studio, retouching the negatives of passport photos with a graphite pencil. By the late 1940s, he also worked on early techniques for adding color to black and white photographs. Since then, his passion for drawing and photography has not ceased, and over the years his prolific body of work has been presented in more than 150 national salons of drawing, painting, and photography. His works in drawing and painting can be found in museums in Mar del Plata, La Plata, Mendoza, Salta, Chaco, and Avellaneda. Internationally, his work can be found in Lima, Montevideo, Puerto Rico, Portugal, Madrid, Barcelona, and Switzerland. Numerous private collections also showcase his artistic production.
