Herrera, Leonardo

Colombian artist. He studied Art at the IDBA in Cali and has presented his work in various national and international venues, including the Pinacoteca of the University of Concepción (Chile), the Center of Photography (Geneva), SFMOMA (San Francisco), and the Center of Contemporary Expressions (Rosario). His research projects stem from two interests: first, the narco phenomenon and its sociocultural implications, highlighting certain cultural crises related to territory; and second, the scenarios of ideological conflict that create radical forms of exclusion. He is currently a professor at the University of Valle and the Departmental Institute of Fine Arts. He was a co-founder of Helena Producciones, organizers of the Cali Performance Festival. He lives in Cali.
