Caro, Fernando
Colombian photographer, great-grandson of writer José Eusebio Caro, one of the founders of the Conservative Party, grandson of President Miguel Antonio Caro (1892-1989), and son of the third governor of the Central Bank of Colombia. Fernando Caro Tanco dedicated himself to photography in the 1930s, while collaborating with the magazine Pan, where photographers Carolina Cárdenas and Sergio Trujillo Magnenant also published their work. His shots showcase a playful taste for experimentation and bear witness to a certain inclination towards constructivist aesthetics or staged settings.
