Rocco, Nicola

He was born in Caracas in 1966. Dedicated to photography, he worked as a photojournalist for twenty-two years at El Universal, one of Venezuela's most important newspapers. In 2006, he created his photographic blog, Photomanifiesto, where he showcases photos of over 600 theater plays and concerts. His books "Caracas cenital" (2004), "Valencia cenital" (2006), and "Maracaibo cenital" (2007) have earned him high recognition as an urban photographer. His latest publication is a collection of profiles of theater actors, titled "Nuevo país del teatro" ("New Theater Country"), which includes his theater archive and portraits of several participants. His work has been exhibited in 1997, 2005, 2006, and 2022. He has received numerous recognitions and awards.
