Molero, Liliana

Liliana Molero, an Uruguayan, first graduated as a Sociologist and Social Educator. She later trained in visual arts and photography at her country's university. Currently, she is fully dedicated to photography, developing personal projects and teaching at the university level. In 2011, part of her work "Presencia" was exhibited at the International Discoveries III, at FotoFest in Houston. In 2013, it was featured at the V International Photovisa Meeting in Krasnodar, Russia, and the V International Photographic Meeting in Bogotá. Previously, she had exhibited in Uruguay, Buenos Aires, and Santa Fe, with the series "Un lento transcurrir," "Algunas vistas," "De pescas nocturnas," "Presencia," and "Tierra de sal." The first four refer to Barra de Valizas, a fishing village with about 400 inhabitants, located 260 km from the capital. She continues to work with analog cameras, often pushing the negatives. Her color prints are generally made digitally, with minimal retouching for color adjustment. She has won numerous awards, and her photos are in collections in the United States, Russia, Colombia, Germany, Argentina, and Uruguay.
