Marcano, Vladimir

He has participated in the following: photography studies at Arte 3, Centro de Fotografía CONAC; photography studies conducted by photographers Ramón Grandal and Paolo Gasparini; the street photography workshop with Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb, Cádiz, Spain; the Photography and Visual Now Seminar taught by Horacio Fernández; and the Seminar on the Future of Documentary Photography at VII Photo Agency, New York, USA. He has worked as a commercial photographer since 1999 and has created portraits, reports, and editorials for various magazines in Venezuela. In 2009, he began creating stories for The Guardian (UK) and Bloomberg News. He received Third Mention in the Documentary Category at the I Daniella Chappard Photography Biennial (2000) and an Honorable Mention at the VII Pirelli Young Artists Salon (2007). He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Venezuela and other countries.
