Candeo, Iván

Since 2004, he has been part of the independent study group Contemporary Art Workshop of Caracas, coordinated by Antonio Lazo and Zeinab Bulhossen. In 2008, he obtained the title of professor, specializing in fine arts. He studied Contemporary History of Venezuela and Theory and History of Fine Arts. Additionally, he has undertaken complementary studies in performance, art criticism, and experimental cinema at the Aula Xcèntric of the Contemporary Cultural Center of Barcelona. He has been the recipient of the Armando Reverón Prize at the 65th Arturo Michelena Salon Biennial (2010), the Venezuelan Association of Plastic Artists Prize in the Young Artist category (2012), and the 2nd Prize in the XII Edition of the Eugenio Mendoza Prize at Sala Mendoza (2013). Additionally, he works as a teacher. He currently resides in Barcelona, Spain.
