Pérez, Claudio

A self-taught photographer and graphic designer, Pérez began documentary photography in 1983 when he started to record the first citizens’ protests against the Pinochet dictatorship, in black-and-white. Today, he is a Member of the Association of Independent Photographers (AFI). Photographs in color are included in the series on the cultural resistance of Quechua communities, an area that Pérez has been documenting since 2004.
