Arias Miranda, Constantino

(Cuba 1920-1992)

A photojournalist from the pre-revolutionary era, Arias's photos offer a rounded picture of Havana society in the 1940s and 1950s, showing life to be very different from what was known before the revolution. These are images of the bourgeoisie and city nightlife, gambling, prostitution and the political classes, which were never published due to censorship. With the Revolution, his life changed and took other directions.
