Ruiz Durand, Jesús

Peruvian mathematician, painter, printmaker, and graphic designer, born in 1940. He studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Peru and animated film at New York University. He teaches courses in electronic design, contemporary aesthetics, and cultural studies. His kinetic artwork is part of public collections such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Hermitage Museum in Russia. In 1970, he received the ADELA award.
