Barrios, Geraldo

He was a versatile Brazilian artist, primarily known for his work as a photographer and painter, although he also dabbled in industrial design and had a particular fondness for printmaking. He studied design and painting under Clóvis Graciano, Collete Pujol, and Yoshioka Takaoka. He began in the classical realm of photography, focusing on the representation of figures and landscapes, but soon delved into experimental art. In this regard, he was one of the pioneers of abstract and modern photography in Brazil, and is considered one of the most important Brazilian representatives of Concrete Art.
