Zamora, Guillermo

He began his training at the Academy of San Carlos with courses in painting and photography. He photographed the works of muralists Diego Rivera and David Alfaro Siqueiros. Starting in 1945, he collaborated with Siqueiros, documenting both the process and the result of several of his murals. His most significant photographic work captures the efforts of an entire generation of architects, mainly focusing on key figures of the modern movement in Mexico such as Luis Barragán, Enrique del Moral, and Mario Pani. With great creativity, he dedicated himself to reinventing architecture through his lens. He produced images with depth of field, movement, and unity, which are a testament to his relationship with modernity and his ability to engage with buildings. His body of work includes more than 10,000 images of architectural spaces, captured through the lens of his Korona camera over his 50-year career as a photographer.
