Agois, Mariella

She is a postmodern Peruvian photographer and painter. She studied photography in Lima with Fernando La Rosa (1975). Between 1977 and 1980, she was a member of Fotogalería Secuencia, known for promoting the work of Martín Chambi in Lima. In 1977, she attended a photography course in New York. Between 1985 and 1987, she studied Fine Arts at the Art Institute of Chicago (United States) and later pursued her master's degree. During this time, she worked in the photographic archive of the Museum of Contemporary Art in the american city (1985-1986). She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (1985) and a Master of Fine Arts (1987) from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (USA). Her work is part of both private and public collections.
