Lleras, Camilo

An artist who played a key role in developing the conceptual photography movement in Colombia, raising issues such as authorship and identity between the ‘70s and ‘80s. In 1973, he made his first self-portraits, such as Autorretrato de un hombre brillante (Self portrait of a brilliant man), inspired by the surrealism of René Magritte, showing an irreverent and comic character placed before art. He is currently working in the field of architecture.
