Brothers Santiago and Vicente Pusso belonged to a progressive and enlightened sector of the city of Rosario and were part of a generation that both witnessed and played a leading role in a formidable period of urban development. The public lives of both men were active and diverse, involving participation in industrial, commercial, educational, political, and broader civic spheres. The practice of amateur photography, which they embraced from a young age, was part of—if not a consequence of—this spirit of commitment, a trait quite common among enthusiasts of the time. The book brings together 50 photographs that depict the city at the moment it was leaving behind its condition as a small port town to become a major twentieth-century metropolis.
