This book begins with the photographs of Sara Facio and María Cristina Orive, aiming to create a visual chronicle of a country. But because that country is Guatemala - land of stories and mysteries - alongside the image, the word was indispensable. And the greatest representative of the mixed word, evolving from hieroglyphics, ideograms, and juxtapositions, was Miguel Ángel Asturias, Nobel Prize winner in literature from that country. Once the project was underway, the unfortunate loss of the writer occurred.
