"It Will Disappear": In-gallery Conversation with Facundo de Zuviría and Juan Enrique Bedoya

As part of the anthological exhibition My Country Is Not Greece, artist Juan Enrique Bedoya will hold an in-gallery conversation with Facundo de Zuviría. Together, they will discuss their interests and processes, the points of contact and divergence between their photographic traditions, transience, the recovery of material memory, the city, and the territory.

“It Will Disappear” was the label that French photographer Eugène Atget placed on the back of his photographs of old Paris, aware of the changes brought about by Baron Haussmann’s remodeling of the city. In a way, the work of both artists revolves around a shared sensitivity to a reality in transformation (and disappearance), whether in the city of Buenos Aires or in the fragile traces of an imperfect modernity —the highway, popular material culture, among others.

We invite you to take this opportunity to engage directly with the photographers and gain insight into the background of their creative processes.

This activity is included in the contribution fee and does not require prior registration.
