Fabry, Alexis

Alexis Fabry (Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, 1970) is well known for his expertise in Latin American photography, the editor of Toluca Ediciones and author of the book Fotografía latinoamericana 1895-2008. As an advisor to the collection owned by Anna Gamazo de Abelló and curator of the collection belonging to Leticia and Stanislas Poniatowski, he has curated many photography shows around the world: ‘Urbes mutantes’ (Museo de Arte del Banco de la República, Bogotá, 2013, and The International Center of Photography, New York, 2014); ‘América Latina 1960-2013’ (Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, Paris, 2013); ‘Latin Fire. Otras fotografías de un continente’ (CentroCentro, Madrid, 2015); Fernell Franco, ‘Cali Clair-Obscur’ and Daido Moriyama ‘Daido Tokyo’ (Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, Paris, 2016); and ‘Transiciones. Diez años que trastornaron Europa’ (Círculo de Bellas Artes, Madrid, 2016), among several others.
